Machine Vice

Overview

This is the model of a realistic vice, made with SolidWorks. It's an assembly composed by seven (six different) components:Base, Guide screw, Lever (handle), Movable jaw, two Serrated plates, Sliding block. (Drawings Here) .

There are also: 6 screws M8 X 1.25 X 30 slotted, 2 screws M8 X 1.25 X 50 slotted, 1 Nut M20, 1 Washer Diameter 20.

The Base is clamped to the machine table using two T-bolts (not showed). The Sliding block is fixed to the center slot of the Base by means of the Guide Screw. The Movable jaw is operated by means of a handle (Lever) witch fits onto the square end of the Guide Screw.

The Movable jaw is fixed to the Sliding Block by 2 M8 X 1.25 X 50 slotted and 2 M8 X 1.25 X 30 slotted. Every Serrated Plate is fixed to the Jaw by 2 M8 X 1.25 X 30 slotted.
